Writing:

• We learned how to brainstorm story ideas for realistic fiction! MM

Reading:

• We have been trying to read for 25 minutes each reading session! SM
• We have been pushing ourselves to read intensely and with strong stamina. WB
• We learned how to choose Just Right Books! SL
• We have been working to build our stamina and pushed ourselves to read an extra minute every day! QK
• We took a Preassessment to show Miss Sproch how we think about our texts! CS
• We made our own logs to show how we keep track of our reading life. GR
• We learned that making mistakes are ok, if we learn from them while reading, "Oh The Places You'll Go." CW
• We book shopped for books that we want to read and are just right for us! CS

Math:

• We took a mad minute to see what we knew about our multiplication facts! HW
• We learned how to play Broken Calculator! Ask us about it! AC
• We thought of equations that represented something about ourselves! ES
• We got our "Phonebooks" and figured out how to use them! AA
• We also practiced our multiplication facts for morning work! WP

Workshop:

• We are learning to take responsibility and make priorities about the work we need to accomplish. CW
• We get to choose the work we want to work on for 30 minutes! CM

Other:

• We determined what our "Mountains" for the year would be and we are helping each other climb to the top of their mountain! RP
