Week in Review 1/22- 1/25

  1. We celebrated Ally's birthday and her brother, Army, came in to read the True Story of the Three Little Pigs. Also, Mrs. Noonan read The Frog Prince Continued and brought in blue raspberry, watermelon, and strawberry italian ice. CVI & AA
  2. We had three subs this week because Miss Sproch had a few meetings this week. GS
  3. We started our nonfiction research projects and we shopped for multiple books within our topic at the library. RB
  4. We had a visit from Ms. Czertko and other teachers during reading workshop. FD
  5. We had a short week because of MLK day. NL
  6. In Because of Mr Terupt, we learned that the students are conducting science experiments with plants. They put a plant inside the box to see if it would grow without light and they also got to feed the plants whatever they wanted to see if they would grow. The students have been in school for two months. MW JL
  7. Miss Sproch's birthday is next week! AC
  8. In gym, we had a giant four-square game with a giant beach ball. CO
  9. We are starting to look for our thesis statement and trying to find what we are really trying to say. MA
  10. We had convert units of measurement and prove our thinking. AA
  11. Cristian and Ryan came to lunch bunch today! KV
  12. Mr. C came last week to teach us about the water cycle from HTHT.
  13. We are coming to an end in science. We have two more classes left with Mr. Seek. FH
  14. We are still almost to twenty compliments. FD

Week in Review

  1. We have a new classmate, Nick, and he is great! FD
  2. In gym we started a new unit! We are playing volleyball. HS
  3. We had a writing prompt and we had to write about something that we felt really strongly about. AA
  4. We got back from our 11 and a half day Christmas break. AA
  5. We did something new in math called Two Pen. You use a red pen and a green pen. You use the green pen for the first two minutes and answer all of the easiest problems. After two minutes you use the red pen for all the problems we did not finish and needed to show work. NL & RB
  6. We took the Triannual math assessment this week. AC
  7. We shared our holiday reading projects with one another! AN
  8. We had a spelling test this week too! WS
  9. In read aloud, "Tales of a Fourth Grade Nothing", we learned that Fudge is going to be in the commercial for the Toddle Bike and he is being typical Fudge--not cooperative! Mr. Hatcher, his father, is extremely embarassed because Fudge is unpredictable and he doesn't want anything bad to happen in front of his boss. DS
  10. In social studies, we are starting to learn about the Southeast. We are all studying the states and capitals. We have our test on Wednesday. HS & RB
  11. We are still trying to find JR books. RB
  12. We still have one compliment to go! We need to work on our transitions because we are extremely chatty! GS
