All readers need 3 JR fiction books (NOW BOOK and NEXT TWO)... if you have not put these in your reading bin, please do so by Wednesday morning!
Tonight, use booksource.com to create a list of 10 JR books that you are interested in reading. Create your list in your reader's notebook. This list should be organized in three columns:

WRITING:
Essay Reflection with Parent DUE Monday, November 3rd
Brainstorm 2 more realistic fiction story ideas. Choose the story idea that you really are interested in turning into a complete published piece. You know it is "the one" if you are passionate about it and are interested in spending time writing about this idea for an extended period of time.
WORD STUDY:
If you need to assign yourself word study homework in order to meet your deadline of Oct 31st, please make sure to do so. You have 5 activities to complete: Resort/Write About the Sort and 4 different leveled activities.
MATH:
Xtra Math Log You will need to play at least 3 sessions each week at home. Due Friday.
OTHER:
Spirit Day on Friday October, 31 for all students.
**With parental permission, students may wear costumes as long as their outfit has no - masks, weapons, scary or gore-y costumes, excessively large or cumbersome outfits / accessories. In addition or as an alternative to costumes, students can celebrate the day by wearing pajamas, orange and black or Darien School colors of Blue and White.**
