READING: Read for 30 minutes and log each day over the weekend.
Spy on yourself as a reader tonight. What do you notice you are doing while
reading. Are you reading on autopilot? Are you surprised? Are you confused? Are
you stumped on a word? Think about all of the strategies we discussed in class
and jot down your thoughts.
STAR
BOOK: Read My Secret Bully with
a parent or guardian. This book, along with a response journal, will be
circulating to a new student each night. If it is your night with the book,
please read the S.T.A.R. book together with a parent, talk about the discussion
questions on the inside cover, and fill out the response sheet. It is important
to provide your comments and reactions on the bottom. Upon completion, please
cross of your name and bring it to school the next day. Hand the book to the
next person on the list.
