READING: Read for 30 minutes and log. Spy on yourself as a reader tonight. What do you notice you are doing while reading. Are you reading on autopilot? Are you surprised? Are you confused? Are you stumped on a word? Think about all of the strategies we discussed in class and jot down your thoughts.
STAR BOOK: Today we read the first S.T.A.R. Book together as a class, My Secret Bully. This book, along with a response journal, will be circulating to a new student each night. If it is your night with the book, please read the S.T.A.R. book together with a parent, talk about the discussion questions on the inside cover, and fill out the response sheet. It is important to provide your comments and reactions on the bottom. Upon completion, please cross of your name and bring it to school the next day. Hand the book to the next person on the list.
COMPLIMENTS: We earned 10 compliments from staff for being model citizens of Ox Ridge! To celebrate this outstanding accomplishment, we will be having a PJ day with a movie on Friday! I am asking students to please bring in "G" rated movies. We will vote on which movie to watch! Way to go, Sproch Stars! We are collecting compliments for transitions this time around, we have 2 so far...8 more to go!
