SOCIAL STUDIES: Bring in materials to create your 3-D models to illustrate your events on your Southwest Timeline on FRIDAY, MAY 4th. We will build our models in class. These models can be made out of something as simple as paper!

WRITING: If you have fallen behind in your research at school, please make sure you work on this at home. Up to date, everyone should have information on FAST FACTS, 2-3 INTERESTING PEOPLE, 2-3 INTERESTING PLACES, and HISTORICAL TIMELINE.

STATE MAP: Today we worked on our state maps. Please finish your maps at home and return to school by FRIDAY, MAY 11th. It is helpful to work on this a little each night. See requirements below:
         Your map should include:
  • 5 major bodies of water (rivers and lakes)
  • 5 largest cities in your state
  • State Capital
  • the 2-3 places of interest your researched
  • Economic Resources
  • Natural Resources
  • Map Key
  • Any other information you want to include.
Use pencil first; then go over any writing with a black pen so it can be easily read.
You must neatly color in the map using colored pencils.
