Reading:
  • We took a PRE-On Demand in reading. We read a nonfiction article about Ellis Island. Miss Sproch wants to know what informational interpretation work we are carrying forward with us. LK
  • We made new reading goals for our fiction reading life! BV
  • We got a GOLD sheet of paper. On this GOLD paper, there are lots of different interpretation strategies that we have learned so far this year. We are carrying this around with us wherever we go to help us improve our interpretation work. LS & CL
  • We went to the library to shop for new just right books. DR
  • We chose an interpretation strategy that we want to work on and tried them out RIGHT AWAY! WM
Math:
  • We started learning how to converting units of measurement. CJ
  • Jack and Connor L challenged themselves to figure out how many seconds were in a year. They succeeded! JW
Writing:
  • We are working on writing a Minecraft essay and we finished our compare and contrast essay! BW
  • We are getting ready to take a new on demand on Monday in writing. AA
  • We flash drafted our compare and contrast essay. We were able to write it really quickly! JE
Science:
  • Using 3 wires, 1 light bulb, a light bulb holder, and a battery we tried to figure out how to make a lightbulb light up! GG
  • We conducted a new experiment that tested if materials were conductors or insulators! MR
  • We are finishing up our Magnetism and Electricity unit, we will be moving on to our next science soon! CN
  • A conductor is a material that allows electricity to flow through, and an insulator does not. CH
Other:
  • We have our Geography Bee today... best of luck to CL! AD
  • We are so happy that we have a new friend in our class! VS
  • We started basketball and jump rope in gym! IP
  • During Spanish, we acted out Three Kings Day. LD
  • We started a new unit in Spanish and we are going to spell sentences in Spanish! BV
